Never had a problem with them. Even after being pulled over three times. Officers were always polite and friendly.

These guys are horrible always cutting through traffic with siren's making illegal U-turns because they can and also they like to threaten people my nice tax money for protecting and serving is not at work I see.....

Yesterday, I bumped into a car outside Panera's on Monticello Rd. Master Officer McKenzie, badge 85, responded and was an excellent representative of your department. The lady whose car I dinged (rubbed the paint off a corner) was understandably distraught, but also quite distrustful of me and the officer, to the point of being argumentative with both of us. Officer McKenzie did a great job of calming her, though she would not be placated. My insurance company has already contacted her, and I consider the matter closed. I do feel. however, the James County Police Department must be a pretty good organization. Thank you, Master Officer McKenzie

An officer by the name of Sargent graham pulled up behind me at the Anderson corner gas station while I was playing a game on my phone and then proceed to run my license and take them from me for playing a game on my phone while parked so in return that has left me stranded with no drivers license no job because I can't cash my check to pay my fine to dmv to get my license back because I don't believe in banks and my job doesn't offer direct deposit and I worked in portsmouth va as an automotive tech. So I can't get to work I can't cash my check and can't get an Id because I don't have the money to pay for it. So it has royally screwd me and the next step because I can't pay my fine will be to go to jail because I don't have the money to pay for it. I feel as if I was targeted and hurrassEd by playing a game on my phone. And loss of wages.

I would like to say my experience with this police agency has been outstanding, showing the utmost in professionalism.. These negative comments I have read looks to me are from those who just do not get along with law enforcement and just want to find something to complain about.. Derek Seawell if you don't use a bank and can only cash your check more then likely means your trying to hide and if the office took your ID there was a good reason for it. tete Bbb if you can't use your real name or actually make sense in what your saying you have no right to complain. More then likely you got in trouble by the police and you wanted to cry about it.
