Just a few examples - I called this past March to book a site over the very packed Easter weekend. Robb managed to get a new site that was under construction finished early so that we could book our stay. And just this past weekend when Wayne was helping us pull in to our site, he pointed out that what I thought was a small path on our site, was actually a trail all the way down to the creek with a neat area that our children could explore. He then told us about fossil hunting along the Colonial Parkway (which we had never done!). He dropped a GPS pin on my phone for the exact spot where he has the most luck. And to make sure we didn't come up empty-handed, even GAVE us a whale vertebrae that he had found! To say my children were excited would be an understatement! I also have to give a shout out to the ever-patient Gary. Like I mentioned, we're new to camping, and parking a 41' fifth wheel can have it's challenges. Gary is fantastic! And has even given me a few tips on how to be a better guide when we don't have a "Gary."
As far as the campground itself - you cannot get a more convenient home base to all things Williamsburg. From Busch Gardens to the historic Triangle, it feels as though nothing is more than 20 minutes away. The bath houses are always clean and I'm quite certain they have the longest open pool season of anyone this far North. The bouncing pillows are a hit with young and old, and they are constantly updating and adding to their play area (basketball, gaga, corn hole, etc). They also have great themed weekends with a myriad of ways to keep the little ones entertained.
If you are planning a trip to Williamsburg, stay here. You won't regret it!!
Great place to bring your travel trailer. Very clean and safe. My family loved it. Will be back again
Great camp ground for the family. Pool and bounce pads, and rec room with games and activities. They do have activities listed that they seem not to know anything about like the tie dye shirts and build a rocket. Maybe not list them as activities if they are only available some time, or note that they are only available on certain occasions. Overall a great experience.
This is one of our favorite campgrounds and certainly trip of the year! The service is excellent, property is beautiful - especially in the Fall, and it is just a few miles from the heart of colonial Williamsburg. Love this place! Say hi to Peter!
This review is long overdue. My family has only been camping for about 3 years, but we've stayed at well over a dozen campgrounds along the East coast. I have to say that the folks at the Wiliamsburg KOA are far and away the nicest and most accommodating we've met!
We always enjoy our camping trips to the Williamsburg KOA. The campground is clean and well maintained. Customer service is top notch and the family friendly activities are fun and engaging.
