Great location for a conference. Large campus like setting. Private. No free breakfast so that was disappointing (compared to Woodlands). Beautiful rooms with plantation shutters and balconies.

Beautiful location. Great event halls and conference rooms. Perfect place to book an event

The lobby and entry area of the Lodge were wonderful. It was well maintained and decorated in Colonial style. The front desk staff was very polite and helpful, and made the check-in process quick and seamless. The rooms were nothing special. One of the phones didn't work, and the bed/sheets were normal quality. Nothing special that you'd expect from a room that was ~$250/night. There were some nice touches, with turn down service, as well as chocolates left on the bed. The conference center was nice and spacious, and looked well maintained. The conference center bathrooms were simply ok, and it appeared that the staff couldn't keep up with the attendees, as the bathrooms were dirty at times, with trashcans overflowing, and paper towels holders remaining empty. The serving staff was wonderful. Very polite and attentive and quick with coffee, wine or anything that needed to provided. An ask for decaf coffee was left unfilled, but given the number of attendees, I don't fault the server for forgetting. Overall, I'm unsure whether I'd stay here again. It wasn't a bad hotel, but for the price, I expected more.

Still a great place to stay, but showing some signs of slipping. The rooms are spacious and the buildings are stunning as well as situated right in the center of historic Williamsburg. Some changes that caught my attention that don't bode well are you now have a "push button" room refrigerator that only works for two hours. You can give up getting a bottle of wine cool. You also can't call room service as they have done away with that. The grounds are not as immaculate as they were in years past and a complementary coffee in the morning will set you back $2.22. The rooms are "cleanish" with accumulated stains on the carpet and bathroom fixtures that prior management teams would have tended to quickly. The staff are still bright, cheerful and eager to help, but management seems to be taking the facility in a direction of less service.

Excellent place to stay. Food, excellent. Service, the same. Rooms spacious. Near shuttle bus stop, as well as a short walk from everything to see.
